Air Conditioning

You know how great it feels to be comfortable in your car as you drive along. When the vehicle air conditioning system keeps you cool in the hot summer and keeps you de-misted in those wet winter months.

You may notice the air conditioning is not as affective as it once was. Sometimes a ‘Musty’ smell can also be attributed to a poorly maintained system. Gas leaks naturally at a rate of about 10-15% per year through the joints and rubber hoses. If left, the air con system has to work harder, this may result in higher fuel consumption and your vehicle will no longer be as cool. There is also a greater risk of component failure resulting in expensive repairs.

It is important to keep your air conditioning system in excellent working order through regular servicing.
If you notice a strange smell when you put your air con system on, this could be a sign of bacteria build up on your system. As Systems become older or are used infrequently the air conditioning system can start to develop bacteria, micro organisms and even mould of fungi growing especially behind the dash board on the evaporator, this can lead to some very unpleasant odors. Some even claim this can result in headaches and flu like symptoms sometimes referred to as sick car syndrome. Don’t suffer any longer, this can be effectively treated with an anti-bacterial treatment that destroys the bacteria growth and leaves an apple fresh smell in the vehicle, guaranteed for 6 months.
